Onni Group of Companies (Onni) has donated $25,000 in support of Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Mental Health campaign – a project focused on creating a welcoming, respectful, and uplifting environment for the in-patient acute mental health care unit at Richmond Hospital.

Onni is a local development company that has been enhancing communities in North America for over half a century. Further to beautifying skylines, making a difference and creating opportunity for positive change is a fundamental corporate value of theirs. “The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us, and a serious but seldom discussed part of it has been the effects it has had on people’s mental health,” says Duncan Wlodarczak, Chief of Staff at Onni Group of Companies. “Richmond Hospital Foundation’s focus on mental health has never been more important. As a longstanding member of the community here in Richmond, Onni is pleased to support Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Mental Health Campaign. Onni is committed to building thriving, complete communities, and part of that commitment means giving back to those communities in which we build, and we are proud to support this important initiative.”

Over the past two decades, Onni has been a proud supporter of Richmond Hospital Foundation. Through sponsorship of the annual golf tournament, they have positively impacted palliative care, the digital imaging centre, intensive care unit, and emergency department.

“Onni has brought forward world-class developments in Richmond and continue to demonstrate their commitment to the future of urban communities by dedicating $25,000 towards Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Mental Health campaign,” says Natalie Meixner, President and CEO of Richmond Hospital Foundation. “Their donation will help transform the physical in-patient acute mental health care unit into a space that fully supports Person and Family Centred Care, a proven model in improving patient experiences along with higher satisfaction and overall better health results.”
