It is an established leader in its field, known for high quality, with innovative programs and research. As a critical link between hospital services and our communities, Coast Mental Health provides housing, support, and employment programs and services for individuals affected by mental illness, making lasting recovery possible.

Each year, thanks to the generosity of donors, Coast Mental Health provides essential services to over 5,200 clients living with mental illness, so they can find their meaningful place in our communities – a place to live, a place to connect, and a place to work. It is a critical part of the medical eco-system.

Abdel Karim Awwad, Head of Sales and Marketing at Brian Jessel BMW commented on the importance of social responsibility, and the impact of participating with the community and being part of their journey.

The “Courage To Come Back” Awards presented by Wheaton Precious Metals, celebrates the triumphs of five remarkable British Columbians who have faced extraordinary adversity and come back to give to their own community.  Over the last 23 years, the Awards have celebrated 134 recipients and have raised nearly $20 million to support people living with mental illness. The event, which usually takes place in a ballroom but will be celebrated virtually this year, is the main opportunity for the community to raise funds for Coast Mental Health.

Through care and the pursue of meaningful relationships, support and service, these stories bring us closer to people who deserve to be celebrated.
