On May 19th, Vancouver’s very own gifted vocalist & Bollywood singer, Kirti Arneja captivated the crowd with Bollywood hits from all eras at the Asylum Lounge at the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam.
Hosted by A-Town, the event saw a crowd well over 200 who danced the night away! Songs from the past such as ‘Ek do Teen’, ‘Khy Hua Tera Vaada’, ‘Mere Sapno Ki Rani’ and ‘Paan’ was served during Amitabh Bachchan’s blockbuster hit ‘ Khaike Paan’ . Kirti was joined by local musicians who rocked the Bollywood tunes which had everyone dancing.
Kirti has been enthralling audiences from a very young age. Not only has she attracted the attention of local celebrities but has performed with renowned Bollywood singer Mika Singh as a background singer for over 2 years. In fact, she recorded her first song with Mika Singh who said, “Kirti has a beautiful voice; I’m looking forward to seeing her sing on stages everywhere.”
Arneja has opened concerts for the likes of Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, Salim Merchant, the late ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh and award-winning filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
This is not the first time Kirti played to a sold out crowd. In Vancouver, Kirti headlined two sold out concerts at Hard Rock in 2016. She’s performed at the Drishti Awards Night gala and has been showcased at the Mushtari Begum Festival. She has been singing at the BC Children’s Hospital telethon for several years and has entertained for many fundraisers in Vancouver.
