Learn the different elements of the Indian classical dance form, Kathak. Explore Kathak’s history and how it has transformed into what it is today. Learn the various elements of this storytelling dance form (body movement, hand gestures, facial expression, rhythmic footwork and so on) and discover how they come together to convey meaning through dance and storytelling. Then combine elements of Kathak into a short choreography. This workshop will touch upon the dance elements of Kathak and the signature characteristics of this dance form. You will be supported every step of the way and given time to ask questions throughout the workshop.
