The 99th annual Vancouver International Auto Show returns to the Vancouver Convention Centre March 19-24, and will feature an amazing lineup of the latest automobiles from the world’s top manufacturers and from private collections around North America. Whether you are a sports car enthusiast, want to view advanced technology electrics, pick-up trucks, sedans, supercars, classics or specialty one-off creations – there is something for everyone.
For its first time in Western Canada, the Felino Supercar will be on display in Vancouver. Canadian made and designed by Canadian racing driver Antoine Bessette, the Felino cB7 competes with major international manufacturers in the high-end supercars segment.
The Vancouver Auto Show will mark the Western Canadian debut of the McLaren Senna, considered to be one of the most widely anticipated supercars of 2019. Named in honour of the late great Brazilian McLaren Formula One driver Ayrton Senna, the Senna is one of the rarest from the company, with only 500 of the spectacular vehicles built.
One of the biggest head turners at this year’s show may be the famed Hoonicorn Mustang that is on display for the first time anywhere in Canada. For those not familiar, the Hoonicorn is the heavily modified 1965 notchback Mustang with 6.7-liter Ford V8 under the hood. It produces a nonsensical 1400 horsepower.
For the nostalgic, the first new Supra to be produced in North America in 21-years will be on display. And making its first-ever appearance at this year’s event will be BUMBLEBEE. Yes, Bumblebee – one of eight vehicles used in the Transformer movie franchise of the same name, will be on display.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. 2019 Auto Show offerings in the luxury/exotic class are once again a showcase of the who’s who, including Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, Bentley, Aston Martin, Lotus and more.
The 2019 Auto Show will again feature a significant number of the newest model, electric and plug-in hybrid clean energy vehicles. It will also provide an opportunity for visitors to test-drive and learn more about this important, and growing consumer option through an expanded Electric Vehicle Discovery Centre with its test drive experience, presented by CEVforBC™ and charged by FLO.
So, whether you or your family want to see some of the finest supercars, exotics, sedans, pick-up trucks, or advanced technology electrics is more your wheel house, there will truly be something for everyone – and the Auto Show presents a perfect opportunity to experience this event as a family, over Spring Break.
