KVP Heritage Society cordially invites all Indian Classical Music fans to SAANJH-E-MEHZABIN, an evening of sublime music with Geet, Ghazal, Thumri and Semi-Classical Film songs with 17 year old ‘singing prodigies’SAANJH JAURA and MEERA MEHZABIN, on Sunday, September 17th @ 6 PM at the CENTRE STAGE @ SURREY CITY HALL, Surrey.
MEERA MEHZABIN, the Grade 11 student from Dhaka, Bangladesh is a disciple of eminent classical vocalist PANDIT AJAY CHAKRABORTY, and SAANJH JAURA, the recent arrival to Canada is a Grade 11 student from Amritsar, Punjab and a disciple of well known vocalist Guru DR. PRABHAKAR KASHYAP. Both have sung in various classical gatherings and together will be performing for the first time with well known British Columbian musicians AMARJEET SINGH on Tabla, MOHAN BHIDE on Harmonium and GAVIN DHILLON on Sitar for what promises to be an evening of Sufi & Semi Classical Music.
