Dignitaries Visit PICS new Child Care Centre in Cloverdale

 SURREY – On April 13th, 2018, PICS officially opened its doors during the grand opening of its new Child Care Centre in Cloverdale located within Cloverdale Rodeo Grounds. Several dignitaries, local officials and representatives from community organizations toured the 1,050-square foot newly created facility and joined in the ribbon cutting ceremony. Guests speaking at the event included the Minister of State for Child Care, Katrina Chen; Surrey Acting Mayor, Councillor Mike Starchuk; Surrey MLA Harry Bains; Surrey – Green Timbers MLA, Rachna Singh; Surrey-Fleetwood MLA, Jagrup Brar; Cloverdale – Langley City MP, John Aldag; Surrey Centre MP, Randeep Sarai; City of Surrey, Councillor Tom Gill and PICS former CEO, Charan Gill.

Everyone showed their support for the new centre and acknowledged that it was beneficial to the community in Cloverdale. PICS CEO Satbir Cheema re-emphasized the provincial government’s commitment to helping families in need of child care in BC. “I am very thankful to the provincial government in their proactive approach in meeting their election promise to provide subsidized affordable child care.” said Mr. Satbir Singh Cheema, CEO of PICS.

PICS Child Care Centre facility is a child-oriented centre where all the children will learn through play in a safe and nurturing environment. Families are encouraged to register their children between the ages of 30 months to School age. The Centre’s goals are to allow children to acquire and strengthen their self-confidence and reach the highest standard of achievements in all developmental areas.
