Building a better and healthier future for Richmond was the focus of the North America Investment Association (NAIA)’s 16th Anniversary Dinner on October 28, 2022. With approximately 300 guests, the NAIA raised over $110,000 to fund state-of-the-art medical imaging technologies for Richmond Hospital’s future Medical Imaging Centre.

“Many of our association members are from Richmond and are deeply grateful for the health care workers and the services provided at Richmond Hospital,” explains Amy Huang, President of the NAIA, an organization that acts to promote two-way trade and investment activities between North America and Asia. “We are passionate about supporting this campaign because an enhanced Medical Imaging Centre is extremely important for the community of Richmond.”

Inspired by the efforts of the event organizers and the future impact of the campaign, Juan Guo, a dinner guest, decided to pledge a $100,000 donation towards the Medical Imaging Centre Campaign. Guo and her son have personally experienced the power of community and now, having settled in Richmond, feel it is the best time to give back to her own community.

With a $20 million fundraising goal, Richmond Hospital Foundation is well on its way to funding excellence and innovative technologies for the new Milan and Maureen Ilich Medical Imaging Centre which will be situated at the heart of Richmond Hospital’s new acute care tower – the Yurkovich Family Pavilion. The centre will house a variety of new imaging equipment including for mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography scanning, nuclear medicine, echocardiogram, and general radiology.

“We wish to thank the NAIA for their generous gift as it will help us adopt new technologies and further support the health of our community,” shares Spencer Gall, Campaign Director, Richmond Hospital Foundation. “Together, we can provide our health care teams with the best tools to make a difference in the lives of countless individuals and their families.”
