Porsche is bringing a short-term rental program to a Montreal-area dealership letting fans take to the wheel of its cars for as little as an hour or as long as a week.
The Porsche Drive program bowed in 2014 via the company’s museum in Stuttgart, Germany, but has since been expanded to two other German locations and a Swiss location before launching this June in Brossard, Quebec, via Porsche Centre Rive-Sud.
Everything from the 718 Boxster and Cayman to the automaker’s Cayenne and Macan SUVs to its iconic 911 will be available for rental; pricing starts at $149 for the hour-long rental of a 718 Boxster or 718 Cayman.
The pilot program will be monitored and reviewed by executives for possible expansion across the rest of Canada, pending its success in Montreal.
Porsche has been experimenting with similar programs in the U.S., including a Porsche Passport subscription service in Atlanta that lets customers sign up for monthly memberships and book a variety of cars at their discretion.
