Human-centred mobility solutions inspire Mercedes-Benz Canada in Montreal

Mercedes-Benz Canada’s presence at the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS) will be characterized by innovative, human-centred technologies that set the standard for safety, comfort and performance. Fresh from its fourth consecutive record-breaking year, the company is setting its sights even higher, showcasing electric mobility, app-based technologies that connect consumers with their vehicles, the powerfully versatile GLC 63 S 4MATIC+ SUV, and a range of other forward-looking products and services. EQ is the Mercedes-Benz electric mobility brand and encompasses all key aspects of customer-focussed electric mobility. The name EQ stands for “Electric Intelligence”and is derived from the Mercedes‑Benz brand values of “Emotion” and “Intelligence”. The brand encompasses a comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem of products, services, technologies and innovations. Future EQ models will embody the essentials of state-of-the-art electric mobility: the fusion of compelling aesthetics and intelligent design, exceptional driving pleasure, everyday practicality and maximum safety – a brand hallmark. At MIAS, the GLC 350e 4MATIC SUV will offer a glimpse of what’s to come with the brand’s new EQ lineup. For the first time, Mercedes-Benz will be offering a mid-size SUV with plug-in hybrid technology, by 2022, Mercedes-Benz will offer at least one electrified alternative in all segments, from the most compact cars to the largest SUVs. The current EQ portfolio includes plug-in hybrid vehicles, which are already in market (categorized as EQ Power). The first fully-electric EQ vehicle will arrive in Canada at the end of 2019.
