The Range Rover had a major update in 2014 with a flush-look front fascia, updated taillights and more use of lightweight aluminum construction to keep weight down. Also debuting in 2014 was a new eight-speed automatic transmission, with paddle shifters and the option of a V6 engine.

There are two engine options based on the Range Rover model chosen: a supercharged 3.0 litre DOHC V6 offering 340 hp or a supercharged 5.0 litre V8 that makes an impressive 510 hp. Both engines are combined with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission with stop-start technology.

The ride comfort is extremely good with a smooth ride. The high seating position means drivers and passengers feel well protected. With the  adrenaline –inducing V8 power,  four –wheel drive system and big powerful brakes the V8 Range Rover always feels confident and well cosseted by the tank like protection.
